Dhaka constituency is in the East Champaran district of Bihar. We take a look at Dhaka Map and also the Dhaka Assembly election results from 1977 to till date.

Assembly Results for Dhaka Constituency:

Dhaka has been a traditional BJP seat. Even in 1990's when BJP was a lesser known party, Dhaka went with BJP. However, seat sharing arrangements saw a JD(U) candidate contesting from here instead of partner BJP. He lost to an IND by over 1500 votes.

East Champaran had 12 constituencies in Bihar Assembly for 2005 Elections: Raxaul, Sugauli, Motihari, Adapur, Dhaka, Ghorasahan, Madhuban, Pipra, Kesariya, Harsidhi, Govindganj, Kateya. After the delimitation rule came into effect, East Champaran now has 13 Vidhansabha constituencies. The new ones are: Chiraia, Kalyanpur and Narkatiya.
