General Elections 2009:
In the 2009 General Elections, SP won 23 seats and Congress suprised all by coming second and winning 21 seats. BSP was third with 20 seats. Detailed UP election results are here.
Assembly Results for UP in 2007:

UP Election Results 2012: What a victory for SP and what a defeat for Rahul Gandhi and Congress. Just after Bihar elections, UP also showed that Rahul gandhi doesn't really bring in votes for Congress.
