All About Bollywood, Indian Style!
Amitabh Bachchan starrer Rann failed to impress at the Box office, but Ishqiya has done quite well, and that’s something to cheer about for Bollywood.
Abhishek Chaubey’s Ishqiya, had a very simple star cast, Naseeruddin Shah, Arsad Warsi and Vidya Balan. But some great performances, good dialogues and good direction seems to have worked for the film. Having an excellent sound track helped too.
Rann, on the other hand had everything big. Big B Amitabh Bachchan playing the lead role, with Ram Gopal Verma directing and film being promoted on a huge scale. But unfortunately, the movie was too predictable and down right boring to watch. Maybe, if released 10 years back, the movie might have done well, but not in 2010.
