Ram Gopal Verma's Agyaat movie Review

![]() Agyaat (2009)
Agyaat released in the theaters today, 7th August 2009 and after spending my time waatching it, I wished it hadn't released. The promos itself gave ample indications that the movie is going to be a dud showing the expressionless faces of the actors. But you won't be able to imaging really how bad the movie is unless you have seen it.
Ram Gopal Verma's facination with Jungle continues here as well, as here a film unit goes inside some deep jungle to shoot a movie. Sethu (Joy Fernandes), is their housekeeper and guide in the jungle. Few days into the shoot, the camera stops working and thus the crew gets a two days time off so that the camera can be repaired in the nearby town.
While inside the jungle, strange things start happening. Their guide Sethu dies and then the unit members start dying as well. The film crew starts to look out for the unknown (agyaat) force behind these killings. The rest of the movie is all about trying to find a way out of the jungle, (sound's like Ramu's other jungle movie kaal!)
The actors are all stony faced, expressionless, the story has nothing to offer and the Director needs a break, seriously. After last year's commendable Phhonk, no one knows what itches Ram Gopal Verma to make movies like Agyaat. The movie is so bad that right from the start you know what is to happen next, not the best of things for a horror-suspense movie, is it? Skip this one and hope Ramu comes up with something better next time.

All About Bollywood, Indian Style!
Ravi Baswani, a veteran actor of several memorable roles, died on Tuesday of a massive heart attack in Haldwani, Nainital. He was just 64 and would be sorely missed by many.
Ravi Baswani started his career in Bollywood with Sai Paranjpe’s Chashme Buddoor in 1981. His role as a student named Jai Lakhanpal, nicknamed Jomo, was appreciated by all.
The one role for which Ravi Baswani will always be remembered for is the part he played in Kundan Shah’s 1983 movie Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron. Acting as Sudhir Mishra, an idealist photographer, Ravi brough the role to life with superb timing and acting. The role create a masterpiece of the movie and has been revered by all till date. He won a Filmfare Best Comedian Award for this role.

For an actor of such good caliber, his appearances were definitely few. The last one remembers of him in a notable role was playing a grandfather in the hit Sony serial Just Mohabbat. He was an integral part of the series.
No doubt Ravi Baswani will be remembered for ever and sorely missed by all. Rest in Peace.
