![]() What's your Raashee (2009)
Three and a half hours, 13 songs and an overdone script, at the end of the movie, you don't feel like asking What's Your Raashee, instead you ask "What was my fault, why was I tortured like this?"
What's Your Raashee had an interesting story line, a NRI boy Yogesh Patel (Harman Baweja) has to fulfill wishes of his superstitious parents by marrying a girl in 10 days. He decides to look at one girl from each of the 12 Raashees. This does form ample script for a fun loving film. But it seems Ashutosh Gowariker got carried away because of the popularity of his earlier made lenghty films like Lagaan, Jodha Akbar, etc. So what could have been a fun-loving, family oriented film turned into a long, never ending, boring movie.
For the records, all 12 girls from different raashee's are played by Priyanka Chopra and it is to her credit that the movie moves a little. It's amazing how Priyanka portrays all characters differently, never letting you feel that it's the same person in all characters. However, most of the characters do not have enough screen time and as such do no justice to Priyank's excellent work.
12 characters of Priyanka Chopra in the movie are:
1. Anjali: Aries 2. Sanjana: Aquarius 3. Kajal: Gemini 4. Hansa: Cancer 5. Rajni: Libra 6. Chandrika: Pisces 7. Mallika: Leo 8. Nandini: Scorpio 9. Bhavna: Sagittarius 10. Pooja: Virgo 11. Vishaka: Taurus 12. Jhankhana: Capricorn
Watch the movie for Priyanka Chopra, if you must! Otherwise just enjoy your Dusshera time with your family and read Bejan Daruwala's predictions to know about your own Raashee!
