Transformers 3 review: not boring, but not great e

Transformers 3 is not a boring movie, but it can certainly not be called a great movie either. It's just a time pass movie! If you really liked Transformers 1 and 2, you may not be that disappointed with 3, but leaving out Megan Fox was a bad mistake by the movie franchise.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon wastes a lot of time in the first half trying to introduce the character of the new girl, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Cast as Carly Spencer, the new girl is just eye candy and serves no real purpose through out the movie. First half an hour is an absolute boring showcase of love between Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and Carly. Both seem to be sleep-walking through their roles and you almost start to feel that the movie is going no where. Leaving out Sam's cool car Bumble Bee also takes away some fun in the first half.

While in first half you see the lady standing by her "hero", second half she abruptly changes track. It looks like Director now says enough of your story, let's start the movie now! From then on, it's all fight and fun.

The story is quite simple. Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the dark side of the Moon, and it's said that NASA sent the astronauts in 1969 to take a look at this spacecraft! The Autobots go to the moon and find Sentinel Prime and bring him back to earth with five pillars. However, Sentinel Prime had a hidden contract with Megatron to end war and rebuild their planet Cybertron and the Decepticons needed Sentinel Prime to activate the pillars. Fighting ensues, and good wins over the evil again!

Second half is pretty watchable as you don't have to really think of the story but just watch the action. If you are a follower of the series, go watch it. You won't be disappointed.
