Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex for Delhi 2010 CWG

Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex will be used for the opening and the closing ceremonies of the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games. The sporting events it'd host are Athletics, Lawn Bowls and Weightlifting. Consultants from six countries, and an investment of Rs 500 crore, of which 100 crore went in building the membrane roof, the JN Stadium is one of its kind in India. The membrane roof of 54000 sq m, which is the largest in Asia, is made up of coated glass fiber, and is being manufactured in USA and Mexico.
