Arrival Kathmandu Airport and transfer to Hotel by our Escort O/N |

Kathmandu – H/D S/seeing Tour to Pashupathinath, Bhudhanilkantha Temple, etc.
In the afternoon Drive from kathmandu to Boarder Kodari -Nepal and China O/N stay at the Guest House. |

Drive from Kodari – Nyalam 3750 m ( 54 kms ). After processing of Visa formalities proceed to Nyalam – O/N (Nyalam) |

Drive to Nyalam – Day free for acclimmitization. |

Drive to Nyalam–Dongba. 4500m (335 Kms).Drive Dongba, en-route passing through Lalungla pass, Paigu-Tso lake & Brahmaputra river, O/N at guest house of Dongba |

Drive Mansarovar 4558 m (335kms).Dinner at the camp O/N at Camp Horchu |

Drive to Darchen (35km.) 4620 m. Free for pooja and Hawan, drive to Darchen after Mansarovar parikrama, O/N at lodge |

Darchen – Tarboche – Dirapuk (4860 m). 12 kms trek. “Tough day” – drive to Tarboche (8 kms) and start for Kailash parikrama to Diraphuk (16,500 ft ) – 12 kms, Dinner O/N at Camp |

Day 09 |
Trek to Dirapuk – Dolma-la pass-Zuthulpuk (4760 m) 22 km trek. This is the day for the most difficult journey throughout the yatra – trek up to the 18,600ft. ( Dolma- la Pass) – descend to Gauri kund and further trek along with the river to Zuthulpuk , dinner & at camp |

Zuthulpuk- Darchen – Mansarovar. Trek around 8 kms, will be reaching to the point where the jeeps will be waiting for us – drive to Darchen , after lunch drive to Lake Mansarovar ( horchu side ) 70 kms, overnight at camp. |

Mansarovar to Dongba. Drive back up to Dongba, & O/N stay at Dongba. |

Drive to Nyalam. Dinner O/N at Guest House |

Drive to Zhangmu – Kathmandu. Proceed to Kathmandu (135kms). O/N at hotel |

2nd OPTION
11 Days Mt. Kailash Yatra by Helicopter – 2012
ITINERARY
DAY 01: Arrive Kathmandu airport and transfer to Hotel by our escort.
DAY 02: Visit Pashupatinath Mandir In the afternoon fly to Nepalgunj by domestic air transfer to Hotel with our escort – stay at Hotel.
DAY 03: Early morning flight to Simikot (3500m) and rest few hours Helicopter to Hilsa – drive to Taklakot – stay at Guest House
DAY 04: Stay free for acclimatization
DAY 05: Drive to MANASAROVAR – (4560m.) After taking holy bath and performing Puja, Parikarma of Mansarovar lake and stay at Mansarovar lake side at the camp.
DAY 06: Drive to Darchen – (4560m.) After breakfast proceed to Darchen– stay at Guest House in Darchen.
OPTION
DAY 07: TREK TO DIRA-PUK (4900m) Drive about 8 km to Tarboche, this is starting point for Kora and trek to Deraphuk stay at camp. The 55 km trek around Kailash. Those who do not want to trek around Kailash and they can wait for the Kora group to return.
DAY 08: TREK TO ZUTUL-PUK (4790m) We will again proceed to Drolma Chu Valley, heading up towards a high pass, the Drolma La (5640m). It’s tough climb to the summit which is festooned with prayer flags but from there it is all downhill or flat to Zutul-puk. Stay at the camp at Zutul-puk.
DAY 09: After short Trek Drive TO TAKLAKOT Via DARCHEN (4560m)
DAY 10: Early morning drive to Hilsa – Nepalgunj/ Surkhet and fly back to Kathmandu
DAY 11: Transfer to Airport for onward Journey.

General Guidelines:

Accommodation
We will provide you the best tent camping or lodges on the whole journey as per our agreements & itineraries.
Health
All participants must provide health certificates given by a doctor confirming that the participant is fit for the journey of altitude up to 5700mts. We advise to bring along with you own small first aid kit bag.
Altitude Sickness
This is an environment related conditions that can effect anyone who ascends to rapidly to high elevations without acclimatizing properly. We request you to read any book of trekking which have chapter on this matter & also consult your doctor.
Fitness
We recommend you to bring a good day pack & are fit enough to carry sacks, filled water bottle, food/snacks/camera/film/sunhat/ light weight rain gear/extra clothes etc.
Insurance
Full travel insurance coverage for emergency evacuation, loss of life and property and trip cancellation is strongly recommended.
Oxygen and Portable Altitude Chamber (PAC)
Oxygen cylinder or PAC will be provided for the whole tour, depending upon our agreements – Please note that Oxygen or PAC is to be used only in case of emergency.
Transportation
We will provide you 4WD Japanese Land Cruiser throughout journey in Tibet side. Rest in Nepal side there will be private coach only. Truck will be provided you for the trekking equipments, luggages & food supplies etc.
The Weather Conditions
The weather in Tibet from May to October must be expected to be dry & sunny. Highest temperature can be 22 deg. cen. The temperature at night will be 0 to -10 deg. cen. at altitude of 5000mts.
Clothing & Accessories
The recommended items are : Down jacket, special shoes, woolen hat, shocks, dust mask, sweater, flash light, sunhats, sunglasses, sun lotion, handy knife, water bottle, a small medical-aid kit, toilet papers, ameras and films with sufficient batteries, rain gear etc.
Food & Beverage
We will provide you in Tibet side breakfast, lunch, dinner(veg.) cooked by our professional & trained cook who will be taken from Kathmandu. We will recommend you to bring sufficient supplementary food like chocolates, biscuits, nuts, bhujhiya & your tinned products to add varieties to the meal.
Custom & Formalities
Valuable goods that are taken for personal use like radio, video camera,etc. will be allowed only after clearing from custom department.
Currency
The credit Cards are not accepted. All major foreign currency and TC are accepted in the border of China(Zhangmu Bank). At present, US$ 1 = 9Yuen and 1Yuen = INR 6 = NRS 10 approximately.
Responsibility
All arrangement, within Tibet is solely at the direction of China, Tibet Tourism Bureau, a Government organization and we have no control over the quality of facilities. Our Company reserves the rights to change itineraries without advance notice, depending on the weather and the road conditions.
Staff, Guide & Escort
Our highly experienced Sherpa staff will be responsible for all camping & cooking arrangements. Local English speaking guide escorts the group throughout the Tibet tour.

Things to carry for Mt. Kailash Yatra:
We recommend that you bring the following items to make your journey more comfortable clothing for both extremes of climate and temperature. While driving to Kailash, it will be warm inside the vehicle and light clothing will be required. But as soon as you step out of the vehicle, warm clothing will be required to keep off the cold winds of the Tibetan Plateau. Evening will be generally cold and warm clothing will be required. We recommend that you bring the following clothing and accessories with you:
- Dawn jacket – provided by the company
- Light tennis shoes and light rubber sandal
- Warm thick pullover – one
- Warm woolen socks – six
