A pretty ugly crash has send Felipe Massa to the Hospital in the Hungary F1 Qualifying Race. Whether Massa was conscious or not can’t be established. He has been transferred by a helicopter to near by Hospital. He crashed at the end of turn 4 and the front of his car got buried in the tyre wall.
News coming out from the hospital suggests that Massa is on road to recovery and is said to be out of danger. However, the injury to his left eye is still fresh and might take weeks to recover. Massa’s F1 career still remains unknown, but it’s quite certain that he won’t be able to race this season.
Update 29th July09: With Felipe’s return this season ruled out, Michael Schumacer has decided to return from his retirement and compete again. The 91 times race winner says that he took the decision to support his team Ferrari and also because he wanted to compete against the younger generation of drivers.
