It took the Force India team 29 false starts to give Indians and owner Vijay Mallaya something to cheer about. Although over-delayed, it did come today on 30th Aug 09, when Force India’s Italian driver, Giancarlo Fisichella , came 2nd in the Belgium Formula One race.
Force India opened its account with Fisichella win, and the ground proved lucky for Fisichella once again. It was here that he came second in a Jordan car way back in 1997. Ferrari came first in the race with Kimi Raikkonen using the Kinetic Energy Recovery System, which was missing in the Force India car. Adrian Sutil, Force India’s second driver on the tracks came in second.
