Sticking to its earlier decision of contesting Haryana Assembly Polls 2009 on its own, BJP has released its first list of 55 candidates for the Assembly elections. The list has been formalised after a meeting between the party chief Rajnath Singh, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani and senior leader Arun Jaitley along with other election committee members.
The prominent names to feature in BJP’s first list for the Haryana 2009 Assembly Elections include state unit president Krishan Pal Gurjar (Tigaon), Ram Bilas Sharma (Mahendergarh), Gyan Chand Gupta (Panchkula), Capt Abhimanyu (Narnaund), O P Dhankad (Dadri) and party spokesman Rajiv Jain (Sonepat).
The Assembly polls are scheduled in Haryana for 13th Oct and results will be declared on 22nd Oct.
