Heavy Rainfall warning for 6 districts of West Bengal

Heavy rainfall is expected in the next 24 hrs in West Bengal after the met department has warned of deep depression in the Bay of Bengal area. The West Bengal Govt has released a warning alerting 6 districts of West Bengal.

Coastal Orissa has been getting incessant rains and lashing winds because of the deep depression in Bay of Bengal. While the center moved towards Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, almost 6 districts in West Bengal are expected to be get heavy thundershowers today or tomorrow. State Finance minister Asim Dasgupta has said that “The met office has forecast heavy rains during the next 24 hours. In the wake of the forecast we have alerted the administration in six districts,”. Owing to the bad weather in West Bengal, 30,000 pieces of tarpaulin have been sent to these six districts.

The six districts alerted include North and South 24-Parganas, East and West Midnapore, Purulia and Bankura.
