US advisory warns of terror attacks in India during festive season

Oct is traditionally the biggest festive season in India, and as such, it provides ample opportunity to the terrorists for choosing to attack. This seems to be the idea behind US travel advisory for its citizens, warning them about possible terror strikes in India during the festive season.

The advisory says ““The Department of State reminds US citizens of the continued possibility of terrorist attacks throughout India during the current Indian holiday season, which includes Hindu, Islamic and secular holidays as well as the period surrounding the commemoration of the September 11 terror attacks,” .

September-October is traditionally a high peak travel season for India with several major festivals like Eid, Dussehra And Diwali falling in these months.
