The Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2009 results are just a day away, but Congress-NCP are already discussing about the Chief Minister’s post. The build-up to the elections saw a lot of discord between NCP-Cong on seat sharing arrangements.
Now, some senior leaders on the Sharad Powar led NCP has suggested that even in the case of Congress winning more seats than NCP, The CM’s Post must be shared by both the parties on a time-share basis. Congress however sticks to its pre-poll status that the next Chief Minister in Maharashtra will be from the Congress.
The exit polls have predicted a Congress-NCP win with Congress emerging as the larger party.
