Jharkhand Assembly Elections are scheduled to start from 25th Nov and Bhartiya Janata Party has released its manifesto, which was released by BJP’s Jharkhand state party president Raghubar Das in the presence of Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh.
BJP’s manifesto has everything which Congress will promise as well. From rice/wheat at 1 Rs./kg to loans to farmers for agricultural work at just 2%, BJP has gone all out to woo the common man. Although in these times of economic gloom, the populist measures might just add to the burden on Jharkhand’s exchequer, but for now BJP seems to be truly on way to steal Congress thunder, with such populist promises. The 44 page election manifesto will also talks of conducting panchayat elections in Jharkhand, which have not been held for the past three decades, as well as putting emphasis on the cottage industries.
BJP’s slogan for the elections will be “Sunn bhai sunn, ek rupya mein chaur (rice), ek rupya me genhu (wheat), char ana mein nunn (salt), BJP ko chhun”.
