Incredible India campaign wins World Travel Award 2009

A Govt. of India initiative, the famous ‘Incredible India’ campaign, has won the World Travel Award 2009 for being the best campaign of the year. The Incredible India campaign was started by Govt of India to promote tourism in India and showcases the beauties, marvels and joys of India. The reigning Miss World, Ksenia Kukhinova of Russia, presented the award to India’s Tourism Minister, Kumari Selja, at a function held at the Grosvenor House, U.K.

Kumari Selja, who is in London to participate in the World Travel Market, also received the Asian Guild Award for promoting the ‘Incredible India’ campaign. The Award justifies the development of the Incredible India campaign and also suggests that it has helped in promoting the tourism in India.

“Suresh Joshi, Joint Director General of the Asian Guild, said “Incredible India has enriched the status of the Asian in British Society by broadening the tradition and culture of India.
