Delhi shivered at 7.4 C on Monday morning. This is the lowest temperature recorded in Delhi this season. The earlier low was 7.9 C recorded a few week earlier.
The snowfall in the upper regions of Northern India are mainly responsible for the temperature drop in the National Capital. The temperature is likely to fall further following snowfalls in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Delhi temperature drop is generally accompanied by a thick fog blanket, and this season has been no exception either. Visibility to a distance of just 500 meters was recorded on Monday morning.
The cool Delhi temperature combined with the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays does give ample reasons for many to go for an extended Holiday. If you plan to go for a cool vacation, look at our holiday packages here.
