Kites: Hrithik’s coming back to theaters

Kites is scheduled to release on 21st May 2010. Directed by Anurag Basu, Kites stars Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori along with Kangana Ranaut.

Hrithik Roshan was last seen in Jodha Akbar that released two years back in Feb 2008. Although he did appear in the recently released Luck by Chance, but that was too small a role to be of any consideration. Hrithik’s fans are now delighted with the news of upcoming release of Kites, scheduled on 21st may 2010.

Kites has been delayed for several reasons in the past few months. The movie was earlier scheduled to release in Oct 2009, around the Diwali period. Why it was not released would never be known, but reports of a tiff between the Director and the producer did come out. Kites has been directed by Life in a Metro Director, Anurag Basu, and produced by Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan. Some professional differences were acknowledged by the Director himself.

Then Hrithik’s personal life was also brought in to focus during the movie shoot, as rumours flew around stating Hrithik’s involvement with Kites actress Barbara Mori. Reports suggested that Hrithik’s wife even left home, and that Hrithik had to return back from a foreign trip to fix things.

Anyways, now that the movie is finally scheduled for a release, let’s all just hope that Hrithik-Rakesh duo gives Bollywood and its fans another reason to cheer.
