Rajdhani derails after maoists blow up track

Late Monday night, 15 min away from Gaya, suspected maoists blew up a railway track, which led to derailment of a Rajdhani train.

Eight coaches, including the engine, of the Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani express, derailed between Paraiya and Kastha railway station in Gaya-Mughalsarai section of East Central Railways.

Maoists had earlier declared a 48 hr shutdown across seven states to protest against the massive combing operation Green Hunt against them.

No deaths have been reported so far.
