India celebrates its 64th Independence Day today, August 15th 2010.
On 15 August 1947, India attained freedom from the British Rule. And we in India continue to celebrate our freedom every year on Aug 15th. Although, in true meaning we still are a long way away from attaining true freedom. From corruption to illiteracy, we still have a long way to go towards realizing the dreams which the freedom fighters of India saw for this great nation.

Let’s plan now that today does not pass like all other days. Let’s pledge to end corruption around us, to help remove illiteracy and to help stop crime against all. Let’s rise today to stand as a nation and show the corrupt people in India that we can defeat them and move ahead with a better India.
