The Central Bureau of Investigation was left red faced on Saturday when it’s website was hacked by a group calling themselves as Pakistani cyber attackers.
CBI is definitely the apex body in India responsible for fighting crimes and corruption related cases. But the ease with which the cyber attackers were able to hack its website must be a matter of concern. CBI hasn’t announced yet if any confidential data was hacked into or not.
CBI website is hosted on the National Informatics Centre (NIC) servers, which holds several other Central Govt and state Govt sites. The Pakistani Hackers are said to have infiltrated the root server of the National Informatics Centre.
Hackers left a note saying “This attempt is in response to the Pakistani websites hacked by ‘Indian Cyber Army’. We told u before too … we are sleeping but not dead.” The note finished with the words “Pakistan Zindabad”.
