Delhi has missed out on Bryan Adams concert for now. The concert was scheduled for Tuesday evening, but the Delhi Police refused the NOC for the event.
Netsurf Entertainment, promoters of the Bryan Adams concert, informed on Tuesday morning that the event has been postponed. The reason given was heavy rains in Delhi, which made it difficult for the technical team to install sound equipments. The concert was scheduled today evening at the NSIC ground in New Delhi.
However, it seems that the rain was not the only reason for the postponement of the Canadian rock star concert. Police said that the reason for not giving out the No Objection Certificate (NOC) is that the event organizers have sold tickets beyond the limit. So, it made it difficult for them to manage the whole concert.
Bryan Adams is currently on a 5 city tour of India which began o Feb 11. He reached Delhi on Monday night and is said to be eager to perform in Delhi. Now that the concert has been postponed, no specific date has been given for the rescheduling. Bryan Adams has to go to Nepal and Bangladesh next and has a packed schedule, so one can not be sure of a date in the near future.
Biggest disappointment comes for the fans who were planning for the concert for ages. People came to Delhi from near by cities like Chandigarh just to attend the concert. Organizers have promised a full refund of tickets for all those who do not want to join the rescheduled concert.
