ISRO S-Band Spectrum Deal scrapped,

Govt scrapped the controversial ISRO S-band spectrum deal between ISRO’s commercial arm Antrix and a private firm Devas Multimedia.

Out Prime Minister continues to feign ignorance on anything and everything is going wrong with the country. For most of the multi-crore Rs scam cases that have surfaced during the Congress regime, PM has blamed someone or the other. But in ever instance, he tries to portray himself as ignorant. He however keeps forgetting that as head of the Govt, he has a moral responsibility and directly or indirectly he and his party Congress is to be blamed for the increase in corruption cases.

The Antrix-Devas deal is said to be even murkier than the 2G scam. Over 70 Mhz of S-Band spectrum was sold to Devas for just Rs. 1,000 crore. But some recent estimates show that the deal could have resulted in a loss of Rs. two lakh crore to the exchequer! The CAG is already investigating the issue.

Congress Govt came into action only after media highlighted the revenue loss in the deal. Only yesterday, PM gave an excuse saying the deal was not operational and already under review. But that doesn’t really hide the fact that the deal actually went through. How was it allowed in the first place? If it was not exposed in the media, would Congress have acted this swiftly and scrapped the deal? We don’t think so.
