Nokia launched its new communicator series mobile Nokia E7 in India on Monday.
For several years, Nokia has dominated the mobile phone market in India. But ever since the release of iPhone and Android based devices, Nokia has been losing ground fast. The ease of use and innovative features on iPhone or Android along with tons of games and apps to choose from made it impossible for Nokia to keep pace. To add to Nokia’s woes, several new entrants in the Indian mobile market like Lava mobiles, Micromax, Spice and others started offering feature packed mobiles at cheap prices.
Nokia came out with its own Ovi store to match the apps/games market of Apple and Google’s Android, but Ovi store has failed to come even close to the two giants. Nokia’s old Symbian operating system was proving no match for iOS or Froyo. Recently, Nokia even announced that it’d be using Microsoft’s OS for its mobile devices from 2012 onwards.
Now, in a bid to woo back the old-communicator loving customers, Nokia has launched the Nokia E7 cell phone in Indian markets on Monday.
