Sharad Pawar has earlier claimed that he did not know 2G scam accused Shahid Balwa. But, now it seems he not only knew Shahid Balwa, but also enjoyed his free services like traveling in his charter plane.
This startling fact was brought to the notice today by leader of the opposition in the Maharashtra assembly Eknath Khadse. The plane belonged to Eon Aviation, which is a subsidiary company of the DB group owned by 2G scam accused Balwa.
Khadse informed the assembly that Pawar, his wife Pratibha, Punjab Cricket Association president I S Bindra, BCCI president Shashank Manohar and his wife Varsha had flown to Dubai on February 8, 2010 along with Balwa. The ICC CEO Haroon Lorgat and Vinod Goenka of Dynamix were also present in the plane. Goenka has been recently alleged to have links with Dawood Ibrahim.
We know what Pawar will come up with now. He would say he did not know who the owner of the plane was as he personally doesn’t do the bookings. Pawar was last year involved in the IPL owenr controversy as well, and one thing is sure, sooner or later truth will prevail, no matter how much Pawar decides to hide it.
