Mumbai Delhi Rajdhani Express catches fire, no one injured

In a freak incident, Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express caught fire on Monday morning while crossing Ratlam district in Madhya Pradesh.

At least two passenger coaches, B6 and B7, and the pantry car caught fire between Bikramgarh Alot and Phuria stations of Kota division. The fire started at about 2.00 a.m. The railway staff showed presence of mind and detached the couplings so that the fire does not spread across to other coaches.

Railways has announced Rs. 5000 for passengers of the coach B6 and B7. About 900 passengers and railway staff members are currently on the train and rail traffic is being resumed on the line soon.

No passengers have been said to be hurt in the incident. Cause of fire is still unknown.
