One of the most eagerly awaited movies, Salman Khan’s Ready hit the theaters today and it opened to packed houses but bad reviews.
Ready is Salman’s first movie since Dabbang and obviously expectations were sky high. The movie promos and the illogical songs pointed to a no brainier laugh riot. Everyone knew the first day would be a House Full at the Box Office and Bollywood was counting on that.
According to trade collections, Ready has done bumper box office collections in all circles. From Ahmedabad to Mumbai to Delhi to Hyderabad, most theaters have returned a collection of 100% or over 95% at least. The movie is a remake of the smash hit 2008 Telugu film Ready, which starred Genelia D’Souza and Ram.
But first day’s collection doesn’t necessarily mean the movie will be a super hit. Most reviews that came out today were bad for the movie. The average star ratings given to ready range from 1 to 2 Stars only. Reviewers are saying the movie has got no story at all and there are far too many characters to keep count of. But you never know with Salman Khan. With the kind of fan following that he enjoys, he can still create a box office success of a bad movie!

Salman Had nothing to prove that he is far more better than any superstar of last three decades and it is absurd to compare him with actor like Shahrukh (excluding Amir) or any other actors who only choose big banner films with multi star cast and good brand value, but the outcome of the film remain much lesser than Salman’s film collection. This shows that only star in the bollywood can make any film hit without proper budget, brand, promotion. If you compare the sallu’s fan following with other superstar’s fan you can absolutely guess that Salman had the largest fan following till date as without proper story or big banner support no superstar in recent times can make a constant film success to a record level.
Long Live Sallu – We believe in you what you do and forget about Freak Awards made only for Big Banners not valued for excellence in film.
