Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly has easily won at the Indian Box office against Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap. High on youth power, Delhi belly has been a refreshign change at comedy for many.
Delhi Belly generated a lot of buzz before its release. The song D K Bose became an instant hit and the controversy surrounding the lyrics just made it more popular. Aamir Khan never minced words about the movie being vulgar in language and the movie released in India with an Adults certificate. But that has not stopped it from making good money at the Box Office. Youth has been able to relate easily with the language used in the film and the movie is scripted well with good humour and great acting.
Delhi Belly movie review is here.
Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap opened to some great reviews. The promos of the film were good and everyone has appreciated the way movie was made. But unfortunately, the good reviews did not materialize into good collections. Many believe that if it had not clashed with Delhi Belly, the movie could have made good money.
The first weekend collections for Delhi Belly stood at Rs. 21.50 Crore. Created on a budget of Rs. 25 Crore, the movie is on way to becoming a hit, but first week’s collections will show if it becomes a superhit or blockbuster. On the other hand, Amitabh’s Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap had a poor weekend collection of just Rs. 6.25 Crore.
