ESPN HD and Star Cricket HD launched in India

ESPN HD and Star Cricket HD launched in India but Tata Sky subscribers will only be getting Star Cricket HD for now.

With Formula 1 and 2011-12 Barclays Premier League season coming up in August, launch of ESPN HD is really a great boost for sports loving fans in India. ESPN HD will telecast the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 31 as well as the GP2 Series and other events such as US Senior Open golf and Major League Baseball in July.

Star Cricket HD will showcase the India England series in HD from July 21. The channel will also broadcast Champions League T20 action and cover India’s tour of Australia.

For now, ESPN HD and Star Cricket HD will be available on Videocon D2H platform, while Tata Sky will only get Star Cricket HD. Sports lovers across India will be hoping that ESPN HD is launched quickly on Tata Sky and other providers like Airtel and Reliance.
