Ranbir Kapoor may have hit the jackpot once again with his latest release Rockstar opening to some great reviews and also good collections at Box Office.
Across India, Rockstar has opened to around 70% packed theaters. Multiplexes are registering better turnouts than the normal single screen theaters, but that is quite expected. Youth in particular has taken a liking to the movie because of it’s rebel-themed storyline and good promotion.
The movie has got great reviews from almost all reviewers and that is something very uncommon. Rediff, Times of India and DNA have all given the movie a 4 Star.
Rockstar is directed by Imtiaz Ali, who earlier directed hits like Jab We Met and Love Aaj Kal. This might by Imtiaz’s third straight hit at the Box Office.

Another release this week was The Adventures of Tintin:The Secret of the Unicorn. However, early reports suggest that while movie may appeal to young audience, Tintin fans would be left disappointed as the movie lacks imagination. For me personally, I am very disappointed that Director of the caliber of Steven Spielberg decided to make Tintin as an animated movie. It’s like making Spiderman in animation for a theater release. We watch and love Spiderman movies because Spidey is portrayed by a human character. If we needed to watch Tintin in animation, we’d just pick Tv series DVD and watch. Why did the Director not choose to portray Tintin as a real life movie? That is the reason i am not going to watch it.
