Before Ek Tha Tiger, India has seen a lot of movies like Sunny Deol’s Gadar, Aamir’s Three Idiots, Salman’s Dabaang and 2012 release Hrithik’s Agneepath, which have opened very strong and broken one record after the other at the Box Office. But all these movies were region or center specific, some did well in Punjab, some did well in West. But Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger is shattering opening day records across India.

In Punjab, Ek Tha TIger is set to make nearly Rs. 2.5 Crore in the first day itself. In comparison, Bodyguard had collected Rs. 1.87 Crore from here in its first day. Noida saw 100% opening and may collect Rs. 25 lakh today, as compared to Rs. 22.75 lakh from Agneepath’s first day. Ahmedabad and Kanpur have also reported 100% opening and packed houses. Next few days are going to be exceptionally good as well with good advanced bookings.

Reviews for the movie has been quite favourable as well as most calling the move as a fast paced action thriller.
