Indian Snacks: Jaljeera Drink

Jaljeera is a refreshing drink, popular during summers throught out India specially the northern states where summers are long and most importantly, it's good for the body and health. Find out how to make cummin seed jaljeera by reading the recipe below.

Ingredients for recipe:

    • 2 tbsp Dry roasted and ground cumin seeds
    • 2 tbsp Mint leaves paste
    • 1/2 tsp Cilantro leaves paste
    • 1 tbsp Dried Mango Powder (Amchur)
    • 1/2 tsp Black Salt (also known as Rock Salt)
    • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
    • Pinch Sugar
    • 5 cups Cold Water
    • 2 tbsp Mint leaves (for garnishing)

Method for Jaljeera:

    • In a bowl mix all of the above ingredients except the water and mix well.
    • Add the cold water.
    • Garnish with mint leaves.
