Roger Federer records 15th Grand Slam win
Wimbledon 2009 final match saw Roger Federer beating Andy Roddick to become the first man ever to win 15 Grand Slams in Tennis. Although Rafael Nadal missed this year's Wimbeldon because of an injury, and was thus unable to defend his title, Andy Roddick reminded everyone of the marathon final last year between Nadal and Federer, which finished in near darkness.
Today's match was one of the most memorable of tennis matches, and stretched closer to 5 hours. The last set itself was 95 minutes long. The final score was 5-7, 7-6, 7-6, 3-6, 16-14 giving Roger Federer his 6th Wimbeldon's title and 15th Grand Slam title. Pete Sampras, whose 14 Grand Slam's record Roger broke today, was in the Royal Box at the stadium.
