1. Lansdowne:Lansdowne Hill Spot

The roads are pretty decent with some casual road patches. It would be best to start late in the night or early in the morning. The place is great for long walks and the nights are very chilly. One of the best spots to spend the night around a bonfire.

Almora is one of the rare places in the hills where short distances take hours to cover because of twisty, undukating roads that enable you to discover many places from one one central point. 5. Barog, Himachal Pradesh:Barog and the Choor Chandini Mountains

Once a stopover for the traveller to Shimla, Barog has come a long way and become a destination in itself. Barog is a beautiful place, situated 5 Km from Solan and 37 Km from Kalka. The thick pine forest surrounding the town adds to its scenic charm. The Choor Chandini or the mountain of the silver bangle is clearly seen from Barog. The vision is awesome on moonlit nights when silver bangles seem to slide down the mountain slopes. Also the place is very quiet and green, just perfect to beat the city blues.
